• The Ironman World Triathlon Championship (or Ironman Triathlon) is an annual triathlon race held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and is made up of 2.4 mile ocean swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon.

• 76-year-old EDWIN WOLFGRAM finished in 16:08:52, (swim) 1:38:33, (bike) 7:24:24, (run) 6:52:29 This was his 3rd Ironman in 2008. After an open heart surgery in January 2008, he finished Ford Ironman Wisconsin in September, and Ford Ironman World Championship (Hawaii) in October.
