Glacier National Park was carved into present shapes by the huge glaciers of the last ice age, melting over the past 15,000 years. 300 grizzlies and 800 black bears are present in the park.
Beartooth Pass is a known scenic drive that starts from northeast Yellowstone entrance, in Montana, enters Wyoming and returns to Montana during its 66 mile length. It is known for strong winds and severe thundertorms, even summer snowstorms.
