Hiking: (parking lot at 14,133ft) 5 minutes, 131 ft gain Mt Evans has the Highest Road in North America at 14,133 ft - Mount Evans Road is 14 miles long and leads from Echo Lake at 10,600 ft to 14,133 ft parking lot, just 131 ft below the summit of Mt Evans . The road is paved, and was constructed between 1917 and 1927. At Mile 9 the road runs next to Summit Lake at 12,800 ft.My favorite photos are mountains at 6am, and Mountain Goats above 13,000 ft. |
