Black-necked Stilt
Black-necked Stilt: wiki, cornell - second longest legs-to-body proportion (after flamingos)
Black-necked Stilt: height: 14-15 in (35-39cmcm), wingspan: 28 in (71 cm), weight: 5-8 oz (0.14-0.22 kg)
Black-necked Stilt has black face, back of neck and back, with white throat and underparts, rectangular white spot above eye, white forehead and red eyes. Eats aquatic insects and makes 3-4 eggs per year. Female has brown tinge on back. Continuous sharp yipping when disturbed.
