| There have been 140 reported species of Hummingbirds in North America. Hummingbirds have a heart rate of 1230 beats per minute, and they are the only birds that can fly backwards.Annas have rose pink throats and are most common along the Pacific Coast.Hummingbirds Costas have green upperparts, violet crown and throat patch (extending out sides of throat). They breed in the Hummingbirds Sonoran and Mojave Deserts of California and Arizona. They are chubbier than Annas, and have a short neck. |
