Great Egret is a large, all white heron with a long black legs, black feet and long straight yellow bill. By comparison Snowy Egret is smaller and has yellow feet and dark bill.

It is the largest egret in the Old World, called (there) Great White Egret. However, it is smaller than the white form of the Great Blue Heron in North and South America.
